DAHU electrical specializes in the production of 0.5-40.5kv transformers. It has cooperated with many national power bureaus for 10 years and exported to foreign markets. If there is any quality problem within the warranty period, it can be replaced free of charge.
Definition and function: Voltage transformer (PT) is mainly used to convert high voltage into low voltage (usually 100V) suitable for instrumentation or relay use, used to measure the line voltage, power and electrical energy, or to protect valuable equipment in the line in the event of line failure.
Structure: PT consists of primary winding, secondary winding, iron core terminal and insulation support.
Working Principle: The working principle of PT is similar to that of ordinary transformer with no-load condition, which realizes voltage transformation by changing the ratio of winding turns.
Technical parameters: in the 110kV and above voltage level system, PT usually has two secondary windings, rated phase main secondary winding voltage is 100/31/2V.
Step-down transformer
Definition and function: Step-down transformers are used to reduce high voltage to a voltage level suitable for the safe use of the consumer, e.g. to reduce a voltage of more than 100,000V to a three-phase, four-wire system of 380V.
Technical parameters: The technical parameters of step-down transformer include rated capacity, rated voltage, no-load loss, no-load current, short-circuit loss and so on. For example, the no-load loss of S9-M-800/6 step-down transformer is 1400W, load loss is 7500W, no-load current is 0.8% and impedance voltage is 4%.
PT and VT (voltage transformer)
PT (Voltage Transformer): Used to convert high voltage to low voltage for measurement and protection systems.
VT (Voltage Transformer): Similar in function to PT, also used for voltage conversion, but specific models and parameters may differ
